I Corinthians 15:57 “But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” I John 5:4 “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” It is an exciting thought that we are victorious with Jesus Christ as our Saviour. The devil cannot destroy us. He must surrender to the power of Christ. The world cannot defeat us. It is under the dominion of Christ. Death cannot hold us. Jesus stripped the grave of any power when He arose out of the grave. The flesh cannot over power us. It is for certain that if we walk in the Spirit, we shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. What a great life the Christian possesses. We have hope, power, assurance, confidence, purpose, security, grace, mercy, salvation, love, joy, and peace. I John 4:4 “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” R.A. Torrey said, “The reason why many fail in battle is because they wait until the hour of battle. The reason why others succeed is because they have gained their victory on their knees long before the battle came. Anticipate your battles; fight them on your knees before temptation comes, and you will always have victory.”
