Jeremiah 30:19 “And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.” The Prophet Jeremiah had the arduous task of warning Israel of the coming judgement of God. That they would be taken into captivity. However, in this chapter he states that God would once again set them free. The product of God’s deliverance would be an expression of gratitude. There would be an out burst or joy and celebration. And that they would experience the blessings of God. What a wonderful thing it is to know and experience the deliverance of God. As a Christian, we have something to sing about. We have the joy of knowing our sins are forgiven. I Peter 1:7-9 “That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.” We truly can rest in the center of God’s blessings. We know that God can and will work on our behalf and for our benefit. Oh, may we continually express the voice of thanksgiving with joy unspeakable and full of glory. I Thessalonians 5:18 “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
