Mark 6:34 “And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.” Jesus was always moved to action when He saw the condition of the people. Many times we are not motivated to reach out to the lost because we are not willing to truly see them in their lost condition. They are wondering in a world of confusion and questions about life that cannot be answered apart from the Word of God. Life is more than simply working, sleeping, and enjoying recreation. They must come to understand that life is valuable because it has its origin with a Divine Creator. The emptiness in the heart and soul of man will not be satisfied until it is filled with the presence of God. Jesus sat down with the people and taught them about a Heavenly Father that loves His creation. He explained to them the way to approach the forgiveness and love of God. He led them to the fountain of life. John 4:14 “But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.” We must have the compassion to bring people to the water of life, the Lord Jesus Christ.
