Our choir sang a song this morning entitled: “Safe in His Arms.” In a world that is constantly in distress and turmoil, the believer must be assured that he is safe in the arms of the Lord Jesus Christ. Psalm 119:117 “Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe: and I will have respect unto thy statutes continually.” Proverbs 18:10 “The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.” Proverbs 29:25 “The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.” It is exciting to know that every moment of every day the Lord is with us. We can trust Him to meet our needs financially. He can heal us physically. And it is for certain that He can grow us spiritually. What fear has stolen your confidence? What problem has destroyed your hope? What confrontation has robbed you joy? Psalm 27:1 “The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” Psalm 43:5 “Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.” Psalm 30:5 “For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” Never forget that we are always “Safe in His Arms.”
