I Corinthians 10:31 “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.” The amazing thought of this verse is that a Christian can live their life for the glory of God. The world is determined to denounce and defame the God of heaven. However, in the midst of this hostile environment the Christian can make a difference. Our priority in life, awareness in life, comfort in life, and dedication in life is for our God. We live completely with eternity in view. Life is not limited to today. John 10:10 “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” D.L. Moody said, “The world has yet to see what God can do with a man fully consecrated to him. By God’s help, I aim to be that man.” The best way to refute the wisdom of the world is to be totally committed to the will of God. Romans 12:1,2 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Albert Mohler of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary said, “The world has to define excellence in the passing frame of the temporal, but we have to define excellence in the lasting frame of eternity.”
