Mark 6:31,32 “And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat. And they departed into a desert place by ship privately.” Mark 9:2 “And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.” On many occasions Jesus would take his disciples apart for a time of refreshment and instruction. During these events, He would enlighten them to the reality of God. This week our teens are going to camp. This will be a time for them to come to a deeper understanding of the Bible and Jesus Christ. Each of us need to be faithful to pray for God to speak to them in a real, decisive way. The greatest experience anyone can have is to draw close to God. The Apostle Paul stated in Philippians 3:10 “That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;” Psalm 63:6-8 “When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches. Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice. My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.” I believe that God can do a great work through our teens. However, they must strive to listen to God. There are far too many distractions in life. Consequently, they must learn to focus on God. Let’s pray for a great move of God this week.
