I Corinthians 4:1,2 “Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.” Luke 16:10 -13 “He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own? No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” What a great challenge faces us in this new year. God has graciously committed to us the ministry of the gospel of Jesus Christ. That involves being faithful in our witness and also with our finances. If God cannot trust us with the “unrighteous mammon” i.e. money. How can He trust us with the true riches of the gospel. Proverbs 20:6 “Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find?” Proverbs 28:20 “A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.” Let’s determine to be church that reaches out to others. We have a great message of hope. Consequently, we must be good stewards of God’s resources so that we might maximize our ministry opportunities. To God be the glory.
