Luke 18:1 “And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint.” Oswald Chambers said, “It is impossible to live the life of a disciple without definite times of secret prayer. You will find that the place to enter in is in your business, as you walk along the streets, in the ordinary ways of life, when no one dreams you are praying, and the reward comes openly, a revival here, a blessing there.” E. M. Bounds said, “What the Church needs to-day is not more machinery or better, not new organizations or more and novel methods, but men whom the Holy Ghost can use — men of prayer, men mighty in prayer. The Holy Ghost does not flow through methods, but through men. He does not come on machinery, but on men. He does not anoint plans, but men, men of prayer.” The Pew Research Center found that: “Women (64%) are more likely than men (46%) to pray every day.” In John15:5 – Jesus said, “…without me ye can do nothing.” Yet, we do not seek Him in prayer. The Word of God gives us instruction concerning prayer. Jesus provided an example to follow in prayer. Believers were committed to prayer. Many people can testify to the power of God through answered prayer. “Down to the River to pray” “As I went down in the river to pray -Studying about that good ol’ way – And who shall wear the starry crown – Good Lord, show me the way.”
