II Corinthians 8:9 “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.” One of the great Christmas carols we sing is “Noel” The word “Noel” comes from the Latin word “natalis” meaning “relating to birth.” Thus, when we sing “Noel,” we are rejoicing and celebrating the birth of the Messiah and King, Jesus Christ. The most important thing in life is to know that  Jesus Christ, the Eternal Son of God, is the owner and creator of all things. He is the central focus of all worship in heaven. And that He is my personal Saviour. Truly, the splendor of heaven was born in a lowly manager. Deity took on human flesh that he might die for his creation. The poverty of a man’s soul is enriched by personal faith in Jesus Christ. The wealth of this world cannot compare to the richness of God’s presence in our life. Mark 8:36  “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” May this Christmas be one that is celebrated on the bases of all that we possess in our relationship with Jesus Christ. It is not money, gifts, or prestige that counts. It is the joy of knowing the forgiveness and eternal rewards received through Jesus Christ. I Corinthians 2:12 “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.”
