Matthew 1:18-21 “Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.” Genesis 49:18 “I have waited for thy salvation, O LORD.” Exodus 14:13 “And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD…” II Samuel 22:47 “The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation.” Isaiah 12:3 “Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.” Luke 3:6 “And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.” Acts 4:12 “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Christmas is a time for everyone to know that God is real; salvation is free; and Jesus is the Savior of the world. Let’s share the glad tidings that salvation is the free gift of eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ.
