Luke 2:13,14 “And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” Revelation 19:1,3,4,6 “And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God…And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever…And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia…And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.” Christmas is a great time to praise the Lord. Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the Eternal Son of God has come to bring salvation for all mankind. He is the fulfillment of all prophecy. He is the babe that was born to the virgin Mary. He is the Man who ministered grace to the hearers. He is the Lamb of God slain before the foundation of the world. And He is the King of kings and the Lord of Lords. No wonder there was such rejoicing at His birth. It is truly amazing that through the centuries Christians continue to rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory. With a hearty, joyful voice we proclaim: “Merry Christmas!”
