Matthew 1:18 “Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.” Isaiah the prophet would prophesy to Israel concerning the coming of their Messiah. Isaiah 7:14 “Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” God in His perfect timing would fulfill His promise to Israel. Galatians 4:4,5 “But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.” The sacrifice of Jesus Christ would satisfy the demands of holy God. The offering of Himself would remove fear and instill hope into the heart of everyone who will call upon His name. The sweetness of His life would bring joy to all who are troubled and distressed in this world. Matthew 1:23 “Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.” Mary, Joseph, the shepherds, wise men and the angels rejoiced at the birth of Jesus Christ because God is with us. Adam and Eve lost the privilege have the presence of God in the Garden. But now God is dwelling with man. Hebrews 13:5 “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”
