According to Acts 1:3, Jesus Christ appeared to many people after His resurrection for forty days. Then He ascended into heaven.  I Corinthians 15:4-8 “And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.” Many were eye witnesses to the resurrection of Jesus Christ. However, many of them doubted. Thomas was not present when Jesus Christ appeared to the disciples the first time. However, he was present the next Sunday when Jesus appears again. He is now face to face with the resurrected Savior. He had stated he would not believe unless he saw the wounds in Jesus’ hands and the wound in His side. The challenge of Jesus to Thomas was: John 20:27 “…be not faithless, but believing.” Thomas quickly responded in John 20:28 “…my Lord and my God.” All of us must have faith to believe in order to receive God’s blessings. John 20:29 “Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.”
