Lamentations 3:21-24 “This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.” What great hope we have as we look to this new year. It is wonderful to know that God’s mercy is renewed to us day by day. We have hope for tomorrow because of God’s faithfulness in the past. Our faith is in a Saviour, Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.” He is the one who said, Hebrews 13:5 “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” What plans or goals do you have for the new year? What possible obstacles have instilled fear in you heart? II Timothy 1:7 “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” May each of us face every obstacle as an opportunity for God to show his strength and power. Let’s make 2020 the year of possibilities. We enter the new year with the promise that: Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
