Jude 1:22 “And of some have compassion, making a difference:” We are living in a world that is very calculated and cruel. Consequently, we Christians can make a difference by expressing and showing true compassion on those who are hurting. In Matthew 9:36 Jesus had compassion on the multitude because the wandered about as sheep with no shepherd. In Matthew 14:14 his compassion led him to heal the sick. It is in Matthew 15:32 that Jesus feeds the multitude. Jesus’ compassion on a grieving mother leads him to raise her son from the dead, Luke 7:13,14. The Apostle Paul expresses gratitude for believers that had compassion on him in regards to his bonds, Hebrews 10:13. The Apostle Peter challenges the Christians to show compassion for each other. I Peter 3:8 “Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:” There certainly is enough revelation in Scripture to impress upon us that we must be a compassionate people. I John 4:11,12 “Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.”
