II Corinthians 1:2-4 “Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.” Oswald Chambers said, “In the midst of the awesomeness, a touch comes, and you know it is the right hand of Jesus Christ. You know it is not the hand of restraint, correction, nor chastisement, but the right hand of the Everlasting Father. Whenever His hand is laid upon you, it gives inexpressible peace and comfort, and the sense that “…underneath are the everlasting arms…,” (Deuteronomy 33:27) full of support, provision, comfort and strength.” Grace and mercy are always present to bring comfort to the troubled soul. It is the Lord who draws nigh to the hurting, heals the suffering, and restores the wanderer. Song: “He is here, Hallelujah! He is here, Amen!
He is here, Holy, Holy; I will bless His name again; He is here, Listen closely, Hear Him calling out your name; He is here, you can touch Him; You will never be the same.” May God use each of us to be a comfort to one another.
