John 10:27,28 “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” One of the great truths in the Scriptures is “eternal security.” It is wonderful to know that we are save and secure for all eternity. J. Vernon McGee said, “I believe in the eternal security of the believer and the insecurity of the make-believer.” D.L. Moody said, “It is our privilege to know that we are saved.” I John 5:13 “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” I am thankful that we are safe and secure by the grace of God. Everything in this world is changing; however, God never changes. It is for certain that we cannot place our confidence in the things of this world. Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” When doubts come, remember that the God, who cannot lie, has promised to give you eternal life. This great hope instills confidence to rejoice always in the Lord.
