Grace is defined as God giving us what we do not deserve. When we trust Christ as our personal Saviour, we are saved by grace. It has often been said that the word grace spells out: God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense. Whatever way that you try to explain grace; it is for certain that it is beyond our understanding. The Bible is very clear that we are born sinners. And in our sin; are in rebellion against God. Yet, God loves us. Jesus died for us. So that God will offer to us His forgiveness. That is far beyond what man can comprehend. But, we accepted this great truth by faith. Romans 10:17 “Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.” All boasting and pride is removed when we stand at the foot of the cross. At that point, we are all on equal ground. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man cometh unto the Father but by me.” We are all saved by grace. The first time the word grace is used in the Bible is Genesis 6:8 “But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.” That grace delivered Noah and his family from the destruction of the flood. Have you been saved by grace? Ephesians 2:8 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.” I John 4:9 “In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.”
