The great revivalist Duncan Campbell makes a comparison between successful evangelism and true revival. He states: “The difference in successful evangelism and revival is this – In evangelism, the two, the three…possibly the hundred make confessions of Jesus Christ…But the community remains untouched. But in revival, when God the Holy Ghost comes, when the winds of heaven blow, suddenly the community becomes God-conscious!” Proverbs 9:10 “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom…” Before there can be a God-consciousness in Toms River, there must be a move of God in Ocean County Baptist Church. Murry McCheyne states: “If we are to walk worthy of our high and holy calling, we must live in daily consideration of the greatness and glory of Jesus.” Isaiah 6:1 “…I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.” What impression to you have about Jesus? What vision do you have of the Saviour? Peter, James and John saw the Lord glorified. Matthew 17:2 “And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.” Oh, that we might see the power, grace, and majesty of Jesus Christ! Then and only then will true revival come to the heart of a wicked sinner. In light of the prophetic events that are unfolding before our eyes, we must reveal the true God and only Saviour, Jesus Christ.
