John 12:12,13 “On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord. Matthew 21:9 “And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.” When Jesus Christ entered into Jerusalem it was a fulfillment of prophecy in regard to the presentation of the Messiah. The crowd responded in a positive and negative way. Matthew 21:15 “And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the Son of David; they were sore displeased.” Even day, people will either acknowledge the Lordship of Christ or reject Him as their personal Savior. The response of the people does not change the status of Christ. He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. He is the Creator and Savior of mankind. This Palm Sunday should be a time of humble recognition of the authority, power, and deity of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Philippians 2:10 “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth.”
