Proverbs 11:30 “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.” John 1:41 “He (Andrew) first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.” There is no greater work to be involved in than sharing our faith with others. Andrew was concerned for his brother, Simon Peter. His longing for Peter to know Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour outweighed his fears of confrontation and rejection. The Apostle Paul reveals the burden of his heart in Romans 10:1 “Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.” Being a witness for Christ is not as much duty as it is a desire to see someone saved. It is not as much of an expression of loyalty as it is a demonstration of love. God loved us enough to save us. Do we love others enough to tell them how to be saved? Luke 15:7 “I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.” Think of the joy that is experienced when you lead someone to Christ. The sinner is set free; the angels are rejoicing; and you have been a vessel used in God’s plan of redemption. Then ultimately, Jesus Christ is glorified.
